As the old saying goes, “You can’t judge a book by its cover,” and you can’t judge a player by his size. For Chris Britt, the super quick point guard is simply terrific in the open court. Last season, Britt had a superb sophomore season. He averaged 20.0 PPG, 4.23 RPG, 4.2 APG and 2.1 SPG. The “do it all” point guard was also selected to the NCISAA 2A All State Second Team. Not too shabby for a sophomore, but head coach Trent McCallister thinks his best days are ahead. So far, Gardner Webb and Mars Hill have already reached out to him.

At our NC Phenom 150 camp in 2017, we wrote the following, “Britt is very quick with a very crafty handle and good footwork as he gets downhill. He has a good feel for the game and he sees the court and does a good job finding his teammates in their comfort areas. As Britt continues to progress his ability to stay under control his game will only grow. He has sound shooting mechanics and a very tight handle for his age. Chris Britt has a very bright future as a lead guard.”

Coach Rick’s Observation: Britt is a quick on quick point guard. He has tremendous ball handling skills, excellent court vision, and the ability to read plays in advance. He hits teammates with accurate and timely passes off the dribble . Britt has outstanding range and has a sweet looking midrange jumper off the dribble/bounce.
