6’3” 2021 Cam Hayes
Greensboro Day (Greensboro, NC)
Friday (November 16) – 6:30 PM Vs. Christ School
Saturday (November 17) – 4:30 PM Vs. Carolina Day School
People come out to basketball events to watch the stars play. In the recruiting world, you cannot get more stars by your name than five. Fortunately for the 5th Annual Phenom’s National High School Showcase, set to take place at Greensboro Day School on November 16-17, we will have six players who are ranked among the nation’s very best in their classes.
We are going to go over each individual five-star, let you know how they play, who is recruiting them and why you need to be courtside to watch each one.
Next up is a new comer to 5-star status, Cam Hayes at power house Greensboro Day School, in Greensboro, North Carolina. His home school will be hosting Phenom’s 5th Annual National High School Showcase so he should have a solid home crowd with which to work.
Hayes starts his 2018-19 campaign ranked as the 20th prospect in the 2021 class by 247Sports. While he may not have the international accolades the rest of these 5-stars has, he certainly has the basketball (and physical) upside to end up just as good (if not better) than them.
Since playing UP this summer as a featured player on the Team CP3 16u Nike team, Hayes has picked up numerous Power 5 offers. The likes of Clemson, NC State, Wake Forest and Tennessee have jumped on board with the blue bloods all coming through to keep tabs and watch his workouts and games.
Why You Need to See Him:
Cam Hayes is now a targeted man. After his performance in the CP3 Elite Guard Camp and over the EYBL 16u circuit, people know him and will be game planning for him. With his elite explosion and quick-twitch athleticism, Hayes lives in the paint off the bounce. He is attacking the rim with great pace, oftentimes finishing well above the rim both in the half court and very much so in transition. He is a knock down jump shooter both in the mid-range and off the catch, from deep. Hayes has every tool necessary to pilot a blue blood program to a national title. It won’t be long before the UNCs and Kansas’ of the world jump on board. See him at Phenom’s National High School Showcase first.
What They’re Saying

“Cam Hayes is going to be in the national conversation as one of the elite point guard in his class. He has the complete package as a high major point guard. Length, athleticism, advanced skill and impeccable feel for the game. Watch his stock explode nationally.”
