Looking at the Class of 2026 nationally, many will find 2026 6’8 Chrisitan Collins near the top of those rankings as he has been a fast riser but is also one that has proven his talent this season at St. John Bosco.
Collins has been taking his game to another level, developing more as an overall prospect and college coaches have been noticing. He has been racking in the offers that include UCLA, Stanford, Louisville, Kansas, Texas, Oregon, Alabama, and others. He also added a new offer from Arizona, as we talked to him about the latest going on.
How has his game taken the next step, along with his focus:
“My game and development have really improved this season being coached by Coach Dunn, playing alongside good players such as Brandon McCoy, Elzie Harrington, Chris Komin, Max Ellis, Gavin De Moss and others. It has really brought the best out of me. I’ve learned how to play with more urgency, and since I have a big role on this team. I know that I must impact the game in every way that I can. If I must rebound more, be a better leader, etc. My focus has been to rebound better, become a better leader, improve all my deficiencies, playing with more simplicity and just being the best teammate I can be.”
What has it been like receiving high praise with early national rankings:
“Receiving high praise for rankings is a blessing and a curse. It’s a blessing because it shows that my hard work is paying off and that you can do anything you put your mind to as long as you work hard, especially since from where I started. The curse is knowing that it only gets harder from here. There will be people trying to take my spot, haters, a lot of attention, bad and good, and easy to get caught up in the media. I’ve been able to stay focused because I realized that this is only the beginning for me and just because I’m ranked doesn’t mean the job is finished. I have to keep on going and continue to prove everyone wrong.”
Thoughts on latest offer from Arizona and other interests:
“I’m just extremely blessed and thankful they looked at my talent and are giving me an opportunity. Right now, I have been receiving interest from Kentucky, Duke, and Michigan as well.”
