What an incredible first round of the NCAA tournament. For possibly the first time in the history of the bracket hoopla there is not a single bracket in the world that is 100% correct after the round of 64. There have been some unbelievable individual as well as team performances and we are only just beginning.

Every game of the NCAA Tournament is televised with millions of dollars exchanging hands and contracts spanning over the next fifteen (15) years from the stations to the NCAA. Looking in terms of the NBA Draft, in 2017, 27 of the prospects drafted in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft played college basketball. In all 21 of the 27 players drafted in the first round played in the NCAA tournament. Taking that a step further, 11 of the 13 2017 lottery picks who played college basketball participated in the NCAA tournament … The NCAA tournament is still a big deal.

The first round has come and gone and 43 players who participated in Phenom Hoops events in high school have made to the 2nd round, the round of 32.

Phenom Hoops provides a major platform for players to be seen. In 2018 alone, the demand has asked Phenom Hoops to double their event offerings to 45 (up from 21 in 2017). In the 2017 NBA Draft, Phenom Hoops had ten (10) players selected who came through its events.

Continuing that trend of some of the nation's elite walking through Phenom Hoops' doors, we did a deep dive through every roster of every team who made it to the 2nd round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. Let's take a look at how many players in the tournament utilized Phenom Hoops' platform in high school.
