The class of 2025 in North Carolina is shaping up to be something special and 6’8 Sadiq White is looking to be one of the premier prospects already and is quickly catching the attention of college programs. White is a special prospect and could quickly become an even bigger national name, as we have said before, he looks like a “cheat code.”

When talking about his game, this is what we have recently said about White’s game. “Although his ball skills and perimeter shooting continue to visibly improve, his strengths still lie directly within his length, motor, athleticism, and rebounding presence. White is typically the most explosive player in the gym, regardless of age, and it’s easy to see on the court. He’s an incredibly powerful finisher who applies nonstop pressure at the rim. His rebounding prowess and ability to consistently capitalize on second-chance opportunities make him a nightmare for opponents to try and contain. White is an amazing open-floor athlete who moves incredibly well for his size and applies seemingly nonstop pressure in transition. He also blocks shots at a nice rate, and doesn’t necessarily require the ball to be impactful.”
And with those types of tools already, his recruitment is off to a strong start, as he holds offers from Chicago State, Texas A&M, James Madison, South Florida, Charlotte, Georgia, and has now added two more big offers from Wake Forest and Mississippi State.
Phenom Hoops caught up with White to get a quick update on his recruitment and how he is preparing for the upcoming season at Myers Park. Check out what he had to say.
Phenom: How has everything been this summer for you as far as basketball goes'
White: Great man. My name got out there a little more, I showed scouts and just people in general that I can guard everyone.
Phenom: How do you think your game has improved from when you started at Myers Park to where you are today'
White: I have gotten a lot stronger. I have gotten a lot more comfortable with my pull-up from when I first came in as a freshman, but I don’t want to start settling for the jump shot with me being 6’8 and athletic; it takes me 1-2 dribbles to get to the basket.
Phenom: What areas are you really looking to continue to improve on this off-season before the season starts'
White: Tighter handles and my jump shot can always improve.
Phenom: What is your excitement for this upcoming season at Myers Park'
White: Winning, playing with my guys again, excelling, and getting better with my teammates.
Phenom: What is it like getting these offers and catching their attention early'
White: It feels great man; at one point, I started to feel overlooked and that is not a great feeling.
Phenom: Have you heard what the schools like about your game and development'
White: My high motor and ability to guard. Lock down every position and how I can play the pick and roll, my athleticism.
Phenom: Have you been hearing what other schools have been showing interest'
White: Haven’t heard from anyone really new. Wake Forest and Mississippi State came out of no where really.
