Phenom’s High School Jamboree Session 1
What We’re Looking For (Part 10/10)
The UnCommitted Seniors
We previously wrote about the fourteen seniors attending tomorrow’s Phenom’s High School Jamboree who are already committed to colleges. This write up will speak more toward the seniors who have not committed but have yet to make a decision. We will also briefly touch on juniors who are sure to make splashes.
In 2017 over 75 college coaches lined the sidelines. In our previous five years running this 6th Annual event, the last four have had over 50 coaches come to each of them. Playing in front of the coaches has been a major draw for teams and one of the reasons why this event has become the biggest and most competitive jamboree, selling out and creating a Session 2, in its life span.
The biggest named unsigned senior in the event will be 6’8” Josh Hall of Moravian Prep out of Hickory, North Carolina. He currently carries 13 offers, from the likes of Marshall, Eastern Michigan, High Point, Georgia Southern and others. He will have eyes on him from all across the board, HM to LM. He is a lengthy wing, who is able to shoot with deep range and create plays off the bounce. Lots of upside here.
Already with two committed players, Greensboro Day will also have one of the most heavily watched uncommitted seniors with 6’7” Nick Evtimov. The burly post player carries around 10 offers from the likes of Arkansas Little Rock, Lehigh, Appalachian State and UNC-Greensboro. He is a skilled and strong big man who knows his role and plays with an incredible mean streak.
New York native Idrissa Bivens, a 6’4” wing will be one to have a lot college coaches’ attention. The lengthy wing plays an efficient and effective game in the half court and can really (really) score the ball. He carries Ole Miss, Illinois State and Coppin State offers, but should see that list grow immediately.
Other must watch unsigned seniors who are ready for some (more) offers:
6’8” Peter Olutunji of Concord 1st Assembly (Howard)
6’3” Caleb Burgess of Moravian Prep (NC A&T)
6’ Davier Dixon of Liberty Heights (Southern Miss)
6’4” Bryant Randleman of Durham Academy (Hampton)
6’5” Tyler Dearman of Southern Guilford
6’4” Noah Dunn of Greensboro Day
6’ Raja Milton of Independence
6’7” Shayne Scruggs of Liberty Heights
6’5” Deante Petree of Liberty Heights
6’9” Brandon Franklin of Northwood Temple
Without question, high level Division 2 and Division 1 (all the up to high major programs) will have a lot to look at in the 2019 class. So much talent, at each position.
If the coaches are watching that means you should be watching too…
