The time is now to have the discussion… Could 2027 Lenise Joseph be the top prospect in the Class of 2027 here in North Carolina? Should she be nationally ranked by outlets all over the country? Those are the questions we are asking about what we have continued to watch over the years with this young yet talented prospect.
2027 6’2 Lenise Joseph has been a staple on the Lady Phenom platform over the years, walking away with yet another MVP honor and proving that she belongs in the discussions above. Joseph is truly a special talent and the best is yet to come, as she has only added more to her game over the years we have watched her. After impressing last season at the Top 80, she came back and impressed even more with her overall performance, as she truly can be a dominant prospect on the court. Whether it is offensively, defensively, shot-blocking, rebounding, or impacting the game in other ways, Joseph has shown that she is the real deal.
Offensively, Joseph is a presence that can’t be stopped, showing she is a force in the paint, carving out space, finishing through contact, and showing tremendous touch. She also attacks the boards to create extra opportunities for herself as well. She has really shown how she can expand her game as a big, stepping out, being more comfortable in her shot-making ability, and adding more to her overall feel. Defensively, she is a rim-protector with great timing and can be a true eraser at her size, as well as carving out space on the boards to limit opponents.
There is so much to like about Joseph’s game and again, she will only continue to get better and stronger, which makes her even scarier. Continuing to watch her, we truly believe that this is just the start for her, as we expect a huge season ahead and more schools to join in on the mix. Right now, she holds offers from Charlotte, UNCW, NC A&T, Wake Forest, Furman, and Marquette. But again, from what we saw, that list should grow quickly.
What Was Said at Lady Top 80:
“Once again, 2027 6’0 Lenise Joseph (North Meck) is showing just how dominant she can be. One of the top players in the state and should be nationally ranked. So dominant, finishes strong, offensive and defensive presence. Incredible young talent.”
“Difficult to describe 6’0 ‘27 Lenise Joseph (North Mecklenburg) as anything other than unbelievably impressive. Effortlessly controls the glass and anchors the paint defensively. Physically overpowering. Possesses amazing feel, touch, and instincts. Special player.”
