Lady Phenom and Phenom Hoops were on deck for a tremendous event in Charlotte, as the Select 60 Showcase brought talent of all ages and grades to one building at Harding.  Several of the top talents from around the area were on the court to compete and showcase, and there were plenty of names that caught our eyes.

We are going to start with a familiar name we have talked about before, but one that also deserves more attention with what she showed at the event. 2027 6’0 Lenise Joseph has quickly been a name jumping out with her play and she should only continue to trend in the right direction.  At the event, we quickly noticed her overall impact on the court; she has a tremendous understanding of how to be an impact down in the paint at a young age.

Joseph knows how to be a strong presence down in the paint, battling and being physical, competing well, being a strong scoring presence and finishing well around the basket, and also impacting the game on both ends. She competes and has strong hands on the glass, but also knows how to wall up in the post, carve out space and finish offensively, and be disruptive. And again, she is only part of the class of 2027 here in North Carolina, so she will only continue to develop her game.

Each time we have a chance to watch, she has impressed and she is clearly going to be a name worth watching more in what looks to be a strong class.

What Has Been Said Before:

“This was our first time watching the freshman, but she is a name that many already know and has the attention of college coaches already.  And it was easy to see why, as she can be an absolute monster down in the paint with her size.  For a player at her age, she does a great job in being a force in the post, showing strong hands, finishes well, keeps the ball high, and uses her size very well.  And she is only going to get better.  Start learning her name if you haven’t already.”
