A very talented guard has been making some early noise, as 2027 6’2 Aaron Britt Jr. is showcasing why he is looking to be one of the top guards in his class. Our very own Patrick O’Brien recently caught up with Britt to reflect on his past high school season, finishing the season with a 26-6 record and with Britt averaging 15.8ppg, 3.0rpg, and 3.4apg. He also announced that he had earned an offer from California, but there are plenty of other high-major schools showing interest his way. See what he had to say with Phenom Hoops.
Phenom: How was everything this past season for you and your team? And how has this summer gone for you overall?
Britt Jr: This past season was great. We came up a little short in the state championship game as we went up against a great team in Calvary Christian with Shon Abaev. We played our hardest and just came up a little short, but I’m ready for this upcoming season for AAU. I think this is going to be a big summer for me.
Phenom: How would you best describe your game and how you like to operate? Where do you flourish?
Britt Jr: I would describe my game as a point guard that has a great IQ and that can also score whenever you need him to. I can guard the best guard and rebound, as well as be a vocal leader.
Phenom: What are your thoughts on your latest offer? What did the staff have to say, who has been your main contact, and what do you know about them?
Britt Jr: My latest offer was from California of course. The coaching staff are great there; they just talked to me about how they would like me there, and they know I’m young, but they want me bad.
Phenom: What other offers do you hold? And who has been strong with you from those?
Britt Jr: The offers I hold right now are Jacksonville, Kennesaw State, and California.
Phenom: What other schools have been showing interest that have yet to offer?
Britt Jr: I have a lot of colleges showing interest. Florida is one that is heavy on me right now. I have interests as well from USF, Michigan, Mississippi State, Marquette, Florida State, and Oregon.
