It was not long ago when we introduced 2026 Deron Rippey Jr. on our platform after watching him at the USA Open Club Championships.  With college coaches lining the sidelines his way, Rippey Jr. was incredibly effective and impressive with his play, clearly putting his name as one of the top point guards in the country. After the event, Patrick O’Brien had this to say about his game:

“When talking about his game, Rippey is one that immediately grabs your attention. The 6’2 point guard knows how to run the show and do so effectively, displaying an excellent feel, court awareness, and playmaking with the ball in his hands. Rippey is so shifty yet strong on the court, to go along with impressive athleticism as a guard. He creates well with the ball in his hands, and excels in transition, but also shows poise within the halfcourt offense. Rippey thrived as a scorer on several occasions, finishing strong through and around defenders, getting paint touches consistently, but also doing a great job in being a 3-level scorer.  Rippey is someone you simply want to have the ball in his hands, and he will make things happen no matter what is needed.  And though he is already regarded as a top guard in his class, he backed that up on the national stage and showed why he is one of the elite guards in the country no matter what class.”

Rippey has continued to attract the eyes of many schools, as he is adding more offers month by month.  He has added two new offers from Stanford and SMU, now joining a long list of college programs that have their eyes his way.  Right now, Rippey holds offers from Oklahoma State, St. John’s, Fordham, Hofstra, TCU, LIU, Binghamton, Washington, Texas A&M, George Washington, Syracuse, Old Dominion, Illinois, Rutgers, Villanova, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, LSU, Louisville, Maryland, Providence, West Virginia, Bryant, Creighton, Michigan, Virginia, Purdue, Seton Hall, Stanford, and SMU.

And that list may only continue to grow in the coming months.  Right now, Rippey is locked in on USA Mini Camp but that doesn’t mean other big schools are showing more interest his way. In talking with his father, schools like North Carolina, Duke, Arkansas, Kansas, and UConn have all been coming his way, checking in, and showing interest; could they be next in line to offer the elite point guard?

He has also taken unofficial visits to Rutgers and Villanova as of recently.
