Out of Alabama, 2025 6’5 Simon Walker has been taking off with his recruitment with high-major programs coming his way daily and offers continue to roll in. Now holding several offers after a strong summer, Walker has put himself on notice in the national spotlight.
Phenom Hoops recently spoke with him about the summer so far and some of the latest going on in his recruitment. He talks about all the latest and gives us the information on the dates he has set in the coming months regarding visits. Check out what he had to say.
Phenom: How has everything been going this summer your way?
Walker: It has been good. Things definitely started to pick up for me recruiting-wise after that first LIVE period. It has been cool to see my hard work starting to be noticed and paying off.
Phenom: What have schools been liking about your game?
Walker: They like how I can score on all three levels. I’m a winner, I’m a leader and communicate well. I make others around me better.
Phenom: What schools have been recruiting you the hardest in your eyes?
Walker: Butler, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Iowa, Auburn, Northwestern, and Vanderbilt.
Phenom: Who have been your latest offers?
Walker: The schools above and UAB, Oklahoma State, DePaul, and Tennessee.
Phenom: Any new interests from schools that haven’t yet offered?
Walker: I would say Oklahoma

Vanderbilt: August 23-25
Butler: August 30 – September 1
Iowa: September 6-8
Auburn: September 13-15
Virginia Tech: September 20-22
Clemson: September 27-29
All of which will be official visits.
Phenom: Do you have a timeframe of when you may want to decide?
Walker: Just any time before my high school season starts.
