This summer has been a big one for several prospects, as they have developed and added more to their game, and college coaches are noticing. One player that has certainly been playing at a high level in leading the charge, especially during the June Team Camp has been 2025 Kenny Miller from Ben L. Smith. He has been playing at a high level and it has been a tremendous three weeks for him, so much so that he ultimately earned his first D1 offer from Hampton.
What Was Said:
“Always talking about Miller’s game, his athleticism, length, and explosiveness would be the details that stand out immediately. Time after time, you can see Miller flying high and showing his bounce in finishing at the rim, flourishing out in the open floor and transition, and finishing over defenders with ease. But again, I think we got a chance to see more of Miller’s value with Smith, as he looks to be the clear leader and scoring option on the court. He showed more of his ability to run the show, having the ball in his hands, making plays off the dribble and creating for himself or others, and more of his presence defensively. Miller was active defensively in creating turnovers and applying pressure with his length, ultimately helping allow his defense to turn into offense. He also was able to show more of his overall game, getting teammates involved, running the show, and getting to his spots to be a multi-level scorer. Miller filled it up each time he stepped on the court at the Phenom Team Camp, and from what we saw this past weekend, Miller’s stock should be rising with college coaches.” – Patrick O’Brien
Earning First D1 Offer:
Miller has had a strong summer so far and has really been able to showcase his full game at the last two Phenom Team Camps and during the Live Period. When we wrote the article, he had yet to earn a Division 1 offer but that has officially changed as Hampton recently offered.
“When Coach Graves offered me said he liked my game and I would fit perfectly at Hampton University with my style of play and coming there, he would make me more of a scorer.”
Miller hopes to continue that trend, garnering more attention his way this summer and upcoming season. Outside of Hampton, Miller has been hearing from Charleston as well.
