If you haven’t heard, Luhi should be a program of interest with the amount of talent they have on the roster, as they are regarded early on as one of the top teams in the country. One player has been catching more eyes with his play, as 2025 Kayden Mingo has recently added offers from Saint Louis, Penn State, and California, and his stock may be rising even more.  We recently viewed Mingo at The Bash, where he impressed, displaying how quick and explosive he can be in the open floor, how he excels in transition, and being an effective scorer off the bounce.

We caught up with the guard from Luhi to learn his thoughts on the early season success and the latest in his recruitment.

Phenom: How has everything been going early on this season' You have a great team with high expectations.

Mingo: The season has started off pretty smooth. We are 3-0 so there is nothing more I can ask for. I love playing alongside so many highly talented guys, we can lean on one another at any time.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game and what have you been looking to add to your game'

Mingo: A winner honestly.  I feel like that is the most important thing before anything. A guard who likes to go downhill, who can knock down threes, and make the right reads as well as a solid defender. I would like to add a consistent floater and more flexibility.

Phenom: Recruitment has been going well. What has that been like for you'

Mingo: Boost of confidence for sure, knowing programs believe in me.

Phenom: What have they been saying your way in general about your game'

Mingo: They love the way I play and my approach to the game. They believe I would be a great fit at their school.

Phenom: Do any schools really stand out to you, or any visits planned coming up'

Mingo: Penn State, Saint Louis, and California stand out to me, and no visits as of right now.

Phenom: What other schools have been showing interest your way'

Mingo: Texas Tech, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, Old Dominion, Boston College, and Alabama
