The recruiting world has been quite busy, whether it is with players in the transfer portal or high school prospects, as we continue to provide some of the latest news.  Recently this week, 2025 Kaden Magwood from Oak Hill made an unofficial visit to Louisville, a program that is looking to turn things around quickly.

The 4-star 6'3 point guard has been in contact with the staff there before, and Magwood has been able to develop a nice relationship with Coach Nolan Smith.  He spoke to Phenom Hoops about his visit, what all he got to do, and who else has been showing interest.

Phenom: How was your visit to Louisville the other day'
Magwood: It was pretty cool; they have a great facility; they live like pros.

Phenom: What did you see' What all did you do on the visit'
Magwood: We took a tour of the basketball facilities, met the trainers, strength and conditioning coach, talked to a couple of players, saw where the player’s housing is, and used a couple of recovery machines; it was a nice visit.

Phenom: What did you and the staff talk about on the visit'
Magwood: The culture changing. Their program is run like an NBA organization. I talked to Nolan Smith about Oak Hill and our brotherhood.  Really mentioned how Coach Kenny Payne is as a coach and a person.

Phenom: How much interest have they been showing you'
Magwood: This is my third time talking to and seeing Coach Smith, he has been to Oak Hill's practice. He came to one of my NIBC games and then the visit.

Phenom: Have any other visits coming up, and who has been showing interest your way'
Magwood: Texas A&M, Texas, Kansas State, Kentucky, LSU, NC State, Wake Forest, Tennessee, and Rhode Island have expressed interest.' I have other visits that include ETSU, Tulsa, and Toledo.
