2025 Isaiah Henry has been a very popular name so far this season, and deservingly so with what he has shown.  Henry was a star prospect at a young age and really impressed with his understanding of the game, along with his physical maturity.

Last year, he got his real true taste of high school basketball with Cannon, and there were some adjusting pains to go through but it also allowed him to develop his overall feel for the game and adjust.  This season, he had done just that, showing more of his offensive arsenal, how he can be a weapon from inside and out, displaying a lot more confidence in his game and making plays for himself, and really being an overall impact for his team.

Whether it is his ability to knock down shots with confidence from outside with range, his ability to use his size and physical frame to operate down in the paint and finish around the basket, his pull-up mid-range game, his ability to impact the game in transition, or his defensive presence, Henry has certainly reminded everyone why he is regarded as one of the top talents in the state for his class.

We spoke to him about how he has elevated his game and mindset this year; this is what he had to say:

'I have felt I've elevated my game, but definitely not where I want to finish. I always feel like I can get better, and I am always trying to improve and get better every day. And I have kept a mindset on IMPROVING instead of PROVING and consistency in my day-to-day approach. My mindset coming into this season was to be a leader and always be a team player and do the things to elevate others around me. Also being an example for others and doing the little things and the uncomfortable things. I am a high-energy guy and I try to get my teammates to feed off me but at the end of the day, the main goal is a state championship, so that's what I strive for every day, and hold myself to that level. I have improved by just being consistent and holding myself accountable almost every day of the week during the off-season.'

As far as his recruitment goes, Appalachian State and USF didn't waste any time with offers early on. 'Extremely blessed to have Coach Kerns at App State and Coach Gregory at USF believe in me and my talents,' Henry said. But schools like Pittsburgh, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Colorado, NC State, Florida State, and UNCG have all expressed early interest as well.

And he has also been able to make unofficial visits to NC State, Pittsburgh, Florida State, and Clemson already.

'I enjoyed every single visit; the coaches were all welcoming and the hospitality was great. They also had nice facilities and other venues.'

Henry is prime to be one of the top prospects in NC for a loaded 2025 class, especially with what he has shown and his overall development. This is why the future is extremely exciting for the young man and his recruitment.
