Phenom Hoops continues their coverage from the CP3 Rising Stars camp, and a new player that quickly caught our eyes and several other scouts on deck was 2025 6’7 Hudson Greer from Texas.  The long, lengthy prospect was able to really show his impact in a variety of ways, displaying confidence with his outside game and knocking down shots, or putting it on the deck, creating for himself and for others, and finishing at the rim.  Really liked his confidence as a player that can knock down shots but also showcase his athleticism.

It could easily be seen why schools are already knocking on his door and that he is one to really keep an eye on in the Class of 2025.  That is why we spoke to the shooting guard to learn more about his game, his thoughts on the upcoming season, and his early recruitment.

Phenom: Wanted to first ask you how the CP3 Rising Stars camp went for you overall'
Greer: I think it went well, I was able to display my ability to lead by example also showcasing my ability to score at all three levels and show my range.  With that, also communicate and make my presence felt loudly.  I just need to keep improving my lateral quickness against smaller guards.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game and how you like to operate'
Greer: I describe my game as making the right play and I am a team-first player, whatever the team needs me to do I will do.  I am a shot-maker, not a shot-taker and I operate very patiently and thrive when I get an opportunity to impact the game.  But when it is time to go, I go and I constantly find ways to try and impact the game.

Phenom: How do you think your game has grown over the last year or so'
Greer: I have improved my ball-handling skills and have used moves that I have worked on and doing them in the game with confidence.  I also have improved my consistency with my jump shot by getting up a lot of shots.  But what I also credit is me moving without the ball, as it makes the game easier.  But especially how I lead my team.

Phenom: What is your mindset heading into the upcoming season'
Greer: To dominate at every aspect and make sure I’m here for my team and even if things aren’t going right, having them keep their heads up.  But to also not get frustrated at myself and keep the same mindset, even if I am not scoring.

Phenom: Recruitment has gone well early on. What is all going on for you'
Greer: Right now, I am just enjoying the process and I’m very appreciative of anything that comes my way.

Phenom: What offers do you currently hold'
Greer: Currently I have Texas Tech, Kansas State, SMU, and St. Louis.

Phenom: What has it been like getting those early offers'
Greer: It is definitely exciting and shows that hard work really does pay off and it makes me excited for the future.
