What a season it has been for Combine Academy National, as they were able to end it in a big way with a Phenom PG Nationals Gold Championship. There has been no doubt that this team is loaded overall and has impressed all season long, but the player that may have left the most lasting impression on our scouts was 2025 6’7 Josiah Parker.
Coming into North Carolina, Parker was a new that we were eager to see but we weren’t sure what his overall impact would be. That question was quickly answered during the season as Parker not only became an essential piece but almost a focal point in the offense, leading the team on several occasions throughout the season. And it was easy to see why he was such a mismatch on the court with his ability to run the floor, operate inside and out with ease, use his skillset against bigger opponents, and to body up smaller defenders. Parker absolutely can fill it up offensively, is comfortable from multiple levels, and is quicker than bigger opponents which allows him to flourish in the paint. Parker makes his mark in so many areas, which should easily be a recipe for the next level in how to use him.
Parker came to North Carolina with a little mystery behind his game but ultimately left his mark as one of the top players in the state and an absolute steal at the college level.
