What He Brings to Michigan State:

“Well, my game is shown as a downhill wing, and I strive in the midrange game. I think I consider myself an all-around player and do whatever is needed to win. I like to operate on the court around the perimeter and mid to low post, crashing on offense and defensive rebounds and in transition. I’m hoping to continue to show my full package of a player with team Durant and keep winning as the summer continues.” – Ward back in 2022 with Phenom Hoops

This is the second commitment for Michigan State, joining another 6’7 prospect in Jordan Scott not far away.  But Ward gives the Spartans a strong scoring option, as he has done so all throughout high school. When we introduced Ward on our platform, he had just received his first offer and was coming off a freshman season in which he averaged 27.6ppg. He only continued that production, averaging a double-double throughout his high school so far (26.6ppg and 10.7rpg). Ward brings great size, a big frame and a tremendous wingspan, and is one who can attack and get to the basket. He finishes at the rim and is a strong option around the basket. Ward showcases his ability to handle and create, get downhill off the bounce, knock down mid-range shots, and be a productive prospect inside; yet there is still room for growth overall with his game which should only excite Michigan State fans more.
