One of the fastest rising and growing prospects in the state of North Carolina for the Class of 2024 has been Sir Mohammed, a 6'6 prospect from Myers Park who is also playing with Team Curry this summer. Phenom Hoops was one of the first outlets to watch Mohammed nearly two years ago during an open gym (Click Here) and one could see his potential in his game. Fast-forward to today, Mohammed has only continued to develop and grow into what looks like a big-time target for many schools, as he has seen his recruitment really start to take off.

For a quick background check, Sir is the son of Nazr Mohammed who was a star at Kentucky and then went on to play in the NBA for 18 years with multiple organizations. So the family ties are all there, which makes Mohammed even more intriguing in what he could end up being at the end of his career.

Phenom Hoops caught up with Mohammed on all the latest; what has it been like so far this summer, his goals at Myers Park, and all the latest in his recruitment. Check out what he had to say in our latest 1-on-1.

Phenom: How has it been playing with Team Curry this summer and building off a terrific high school season'
Mohammed: It has been a lot of fun playing with new guys, really good players.  It has been fun figuring out how to come together and what it takes to earn wins, playing with some high-level guys.

Phenom: How do you think your game has elevated'
Mohammed: I feel like I've been shooting the ball better than last year. And just being in better shape; being able to run faster, jump higher, play better defense.

Phenom: What have you been able to take from your family background and now stepping up as a leader for your teams'
Mohammed: I still don't even know if I feel like that guy because I have so many good guys around me that help; it makes it easier to lead, whether it is with Myers Park or Team Curry.

Phenom: You had a great year with Myers Park last year and you will be running it back. What are your expectations for next year for you and the team'
Mohammed: I definitely want to take more of a vocal role with my guys; sometimes I was more laid-back last year with my guys.  But in all, I want to go win a state championship.

Phenom: Recruitment has gone well and you received your first ACC and Power-5 offer from Virginia Tech. What was it like to get that offer and what kind of relationship have you been able to build with them'
Mohammed: That one felt really good, just knowing that high-level colleges are looking at me, that my game is at that level, and that I'm on the right track. I went up to Virginia Tech back in February and I just loved everything about it; the campus, the atmosphere, and the coaches were great guys, I like how they play. I like everything about VT.

Phenom: How long have they been recruiting you'
Mohammed: We have been talking since late January.

Phenom: You also hold offers from Appalachian State and High Point. What was it like to get those offers and how consistent have they been with you'
Mohammed: Both of those came as surprises. Honestly, I didn't know I was at that level yet at the time. Those felt just as good as the Virginia Tech offer.

Phenom: Have you been able to visit either school'
Mohammed: I haven't been able to visit either App State or High Point. I would love to, but I don't have any set plans.

Phenom: You have been receiving a lot of interest. Who has been strong with you as far as showing interest'
Mohammed: I went up to Tennessee in late December, so I've been talking to them for a while. Villanova came to a lot of our games during the LIVE Period. Iowa as well.

Phenom: How was the visit to Tennessee'
Mohammed: It was amazing. It was a game they played vs. Arizona. It was crazy. They have been staying consistent with me.

Phenom: What was it like with Villanova showing interest and have you been hearing anything since any of the changes'
Mohammed: Not really since then. It is just a high-level program that came to a lot of our games.

Phenom: Do you have a dream school'
Mohammed: Kentucky and Louisville. That is where my family is from.

Since the interview, Myers Park coach and Team Curry coach Nick Jones has posted that Mohammed has received interest from UMass, Penn State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Stanford, and others.
