Get familiar with the name' Quickly!  2024 6'6 Jahki Howard from Norcross high school is becoming a national name quickly if it isn't already.  The young freshman has tremendous size, athleticism, and skill set, which is why programs are not wasting any time in recruiting him.

Howard has already picked up a few offers from SEC programs and add two more this week, as we sat down to discuss his thoughts on it all and this season.

PHR: Hello Jahki, how has it been playing at Norcross so far' A very talented team and program.
Howard: It has been good. It's cool, getting better and competing against other highly-talented players that can get me better.

PHR: What has it shown you early on about the talent level and what you need to continue to get better'
Howard: I just got to work because living here, everyone is working hard every day, so every second I'm not working, someone else is getting better.

PHR: You are a 6'6 prospect. How would you best describe your game on the court'
Howard: I'm very versatile. I feel like I can do everything at my height but I really need to get my ball-handling tighter.

PHR: Where do you excel on the floor or where do you like to attack'
Howard: Everywhere on the court.  Where ever I can get a bucket, I will.  I'm known for being very explosive.

PHR: What areas are you looking to work on as of right now'
Howard: Dribble pull-ups.

PHR: What was it like to get that LSU offer the other day'' What were your initial thoughts'
Howard: It was very unbelievable because LSU is a very good program.' My initial thoughts were no way, like I had no words.

PHR: How did you hear about it'
Howard: They had called me and my dad.

PHR: What did they say when they offered' Did they mention what they really liked about your game'
Howard: Not really.

PHR: That wasn't your first offer'
Howard: No, my first offer was from Florida, then Rutgers, and now LSU and Georgetown.

PHR: What all excites you about the LSU program or what do you know about them early on'
Howard: I know they are a very good program and good coaching staff, and what most excites me is that they are a highly-known college.

PHR: You then received an offer from Georgetown. What was that like and what went through your mind'
Howard: It was crazy. I woke up and talked to Patrick Ewing, knowing I talked to an NBA star is mind-blowing.

PHR: What did you all talk or he have to say to you'
Howard: A blessing words can't even explain how crazy that is.' He was just saying he has seen me play and that he liked my game.

PHR: What has been the relationship like with the likes of Florida and Rutgers these days'
Howard: Very good.

PHR: Wanted to get your thoughts on those two programs in general' Anything stand out'
Howard: I mean, they are highly big schools and they are doing very well as of this year.

PHR: What is it like overall to have offers from schools in the SEC and all'
Howard: It is unbelievable but it is only the beginning.

PHR: What other schools have been expressing interest'
Howard: Arkansas, and Georgia.
