The high school season has ended but that only means that travel ball is finally here, as players and teams gather to play in front of college coaches and hopefully continue to see their stock rise.  One player that is hoping to do just that is 2024 Christian Foy from North Meck.

Foy, who will be playing for Boo Williams 16u this year, is excited to showcase more of his game and his impact on the court, something he gave a glimpse of this season with the Vikings.' His sophomore season was certainly a fun one for the young man, as North Meck was able to make it to the Final Four in the 4A NCHSAA Division and he was able to showcase more of his game while continuing to develop under a program that has produced some tremendous talent.

'North Meck was good this year,' Foy told Phenom Hoops.  'I was able to show more of my versatility. I also developed a lot more at North Meck this year, not just on the court but off the court as well. Coach Lewis showed me different ways I can impact the game by playing not just outside but also inside by using my size and frame to my advantage.'

Foy was a critical part of the Vikings' run this season, as he could certainly create mismatches with his skill set and size.' He can find his shots from the mid-post or create from there, but he also can step out, is a capable ball-handler, and can defend multiple positions on the floor.

Now, he hopes to do the same this summer with Boo Williams, as he is excited about the opportunity to play on the big stage with one of the premier programs in the country.

'Definitely having the opportunity to play against some of the top players in the country and seeing where my game is at,' Foy said when asked about playing with Boo.

Foy is a developing young prospect and with his ability to impact the court in a variety of ways, scoring from multiple areas, switching on positions, and being a presence on the boards, he could really see his recruitment take off this summer.

Recruitment Update:

When speaking with Foy about his recruitment, he mentioned that he has spoken to a few schools that have come through North Meck.  He also said that Old Dominion has been the program that has been showing a lot of interest his way and they have developed a strong relationship with each other.

'Coach up there really likes my ability to do more than just one thing on the basketball court,' Foy said.

He went on an unofficial back in October, an experience he said he enjoyed.  He had a chance to view the basketball facilities and the school during his trip.

'I took a lot away from the experience; it showed me that it takes a lot to be successful at that level from academics to on the court.'
