2024 Brooks Bahr, a 6’5 prospect from Keller HS down in Texas, recently announced that he would be heading to BYU, giving the program a dynamic guard who is hoping to continue the winning tradition at the program.  We spoke with Bahr about his decision, as he discussed his relationship with the staff there and what else went into his decision.

Phenom: What made BYU the place for you in the end'
Bahr: I like the way Coach Pope and the entire staff break down and think through the game. I think I can be a difference-maker right away.  I want to win more than anything, and I believe I can do that at BYU, playing in the best conference in the country.

Phenom: What do they believe you can bring to the program with your game'
Bahr: A high-IQ guard who can make plays, not only for myself but for others. Make everyone around me better. I bring toughness and winning plays to any program I go to.

Phenom: What kind of relationship have you been able to build with that staff overall'
Bahr: A great relationship with everyone on staff. Have full confidence in their ability to maximize my potential while at BYU. Style of play was very important to me. They put a ton of trust and instill confidence into their guards.
