We have had the pleasure to watch Crump a lot this summer and really have come away impressed each and every time we see this young man on the court. This is a 6'8 forward that can impact the game in several ways. Offensively, he can be a knock-down shooter, stepping out to the 3-point line with ease or consistently hitting the mid-range shot. He also can go to work down in the post with his size, really becoming a mismatch on the court. Crump also shows us that he has a terrific early skillset with his feel for the game, showcasing vision and he spaces the floor really well.
Crump said it best when Phenom Hoops asked him about his game:
'I would say I'm an all-around player. I do a little bit of everything from rebounding to shooting to passing.'
Crump earns big first offer
He may be young but it seems that schools are already seeing the potential of what he could be down the road. Texas A&M reached out to Crump's high school coaching staff to inform them that they would be offering.
'It was a complete shock,' Crump told Phenom Hoops when he heard the news from his coach. 'I never really expected it to happen so soon but it shows me hard work really does pay off.'
This though could be just the start for this young man, as he doesn't want to stay complacent and wants to continue to work harder every day. But to earn an offer from the SEC at such a young age is impressive in itself but it is far from the last that Crump will be earning.
