How time flies when watching these prospects here in North Carolina.  It wasn’t long ago when Phenom Hoops was watching 2024 Bishop Boswell as a young prospect that many hadn’t heard of and now we fast-forward to today, Boswell has seen his recruitment hit another level with offers rolling in.

He earned his first offer from Houston not long ago but has now added offers from Wake Forest, USF, Texas A&M, and Georgia in the last week or so, while other high-major schools are checking in and showing interest.  We spoke with Boswell about all the latest and how he is embracing the fast rise.

Phenom: The summer has been great so far but in the last two months, it has really picked up.  Have you been able to take it all in?
Boswell: Yes sir, I’ve definitely been able to take it all in and really think about it because I have never been a highly ranked player or prospect, so it has been rewarding to receive so much college attention.

Phenom: What do you think the biggest difference is or has been in your game over the last year or so?
Boswell: Just overall IQ and feel for the game and I’ve also improved my jump shot and strength with lifting, which has helped me on defense and around the basket.

Phenom: What was it like to get those big offers last week?
Boswell: It meant a lot, just seeing my hard work pay off.

Phenom: What was it like to get that offer from Wake Forest and what do you like about that program? You also made a visit there, anything stand out then?
Boswell: Yes sir, I love the program and it meant a lot to get the offer having prior taking visits up there, but it is close to home, which is nice, the facilities are great, and there is just such a family feel up there between the coaches and the players which I really like.

Phenom: What did they have to say that they liked about your game when schools like Texas A&M, USF, and Georgia all offered?
Boswell: Just applauded my energy and intensity on the defensive side of the ball and the passion I played with.  They were all great programs with their own special qualities, and it has been cool to form relationships with the coaches.

Phenom: Do you still stay connected to the staff at Houston? What kind of relationship have you built with them?
Boswell: Yes sir, I talked to them not long ago. But I haven’t talked to them as much as some others but still love their program and love the way they play.

Phenom: What other schools have shown interest your way?
Boswell: LSU, South Carolina, NC State, Virginia, and others.

Phenom: Have any visits been set up?
Boswell: None officially set up. But I have spoken to NC State and others about going down.
