It was almost two years ago now when we got our first glimpse of 2024 Bishop Boswell, then playing with Team Hope.' Our very own Rick Lewis stood on the sidelines and mentioned his name to several of our other scouts, getting an early glimpse of the talent guard leading the charge.' Fast-forward two years to where we are today, Boswell is coming off playing with CP3, playing in the Peach Jam, and has earned some early offers with interests picking up as well.

We spoke with the rising guard in North Carolina to get the latest on his summer, getting ready for football and basketball season, and the latest in his recruitment.

Phenom: How has this summer been overall for you' Playing with CP3 and getting better with your game'
Boswell: The summer with CP3 was great.  It was good to practice and play with the best players in North Carolina and on top of that, we played the best in the country.  We got a lot of exposure and the atmosphere at Peach Jam was amazing.  I really think I got better this summer and the coaches for 15u did a great job.

Phenom: How was that experience at Peach Jam' Had to be off the charts.
Boswell: It was surreal.  From watching it on TV to actually being there was a dope experience.  It's definitely the best competition in the country.  Everywhere you turn, there is another 5-star, so it was a great experience.

Phenom: Did it show you anything about you and your game' Where do you need to improve' Focus on'
Boswell: Definitely, it's really fast-paced but I'd say the biggest things for me are ball-handling, change of pace, and getting by defenders.

Phenom: Looks like you have been putting in the work and getting ready physically for football season as well.
Boswell: I think it's been good getting in the weight room for football.  I saw growth in a week, so I think that will be big for both sports.

Phenom: Its going to be a big year for you on the court, with more expectations and stepping up on the floor.' What is your focus and thoughts on stepping up for your team'
Boswell: Expectations are part of the competition and I've been playing basketball for a while now, so the expectations don't really scare me, they just get me more excited.' With the losses of seniors last year, I will have to step up and lead this team and we have a lot of young guys but I'm just ready to go out and do whatever the team needs me to do to get victories.

Phenom: How has your recruitment been going' Got that big offer from Houston and then another from NC A&T. Anyone else been reaching out your way'
Boswell: I got the first offer from Houston and that was super exciting and then I received an offer from NC A&T.' Other than that, I have talked to a couple of other colleges and began to build relationships and that has been cool.

Phenom: What schools have been reaching out'
Boswell: My coach talks to some colleges but two programs I have had conversations with are Ole Miss and Howard.'

Phenom: Nice, what have they been saying your way'
Boswell: Just basically asking about family and telling me a little about the school and their program.
