Going down to the state of Florida, we wanted to talk about a program that brought some interesting talent to the court in Raleigh. The Q6 All-Stars program is one that I would be looking at more, as one player really opened up a ton of eyes while we see what else was said from our scouts about all teams.
2024 6’5 Ryan Blount (Rockledge HS)
Blount was a new name that came to our platform and walked away with a ton of buzz with our scouts with what he showed. He was terrific throughout the event, as he finished with outings of 19, 26, 28, and 18, and he couldn’t be stopped for much of the event. Blount is a strong and sturdy wing/forward who has a tremendous skillset but also backs that up with production. A double-double type player, he plays with a ton of tenacity and confidence, not backing down from anyone and playing with something to prove. Whether it was his ability to step out and knock down shots, use his body to battle down in the paint, attack the glass for putbacks, or make smart decisions within the offense, Blount was special with his play and should see more traction with college programs quickly.
What was said by our Scouts about Q6 All-Stars:
“6’5 ’24 Ryan Blount (Q6 All-Stars Anderson) has quietly dominated this game. Lethal spot-up threat with IQ, size, and a steady presence on both ends. Great cutter and a useful creator with solid instincts as a defender. Scoring from all levels here.”
“Liking the complementary post duo of 6’8 ’24 Colin Kearns and 6’8 ’24 Carter Hankerson (Q6 All-Stars). Kearns is long, wiry, and can space the floor while Hankerson is strong and physically overwhelming. Both college-level bigs.”
“Really impressed with Q6 All-Stars Anderson and their fundamental approach on both ends. Between their unselfish passing, sharp defensive rotations, and general chemistry, they are a really fun group to watch.”
