We can almost guarantee you that guard Jeremy Fears Jr. is going to be a name you will quickly learn about if you haven't already.  He looks geared to be one of the top guards in the country for the class of 2023, plays on a national scale at La Lumiere, and is racking in the offers and earning the attention from college coaches already.

We got a glimpse of Fears recently at the St. James Invitational when La Lumiere matched up against Legacy Early.' The young guard showed a tremendous ability to impact the floor in so many ways, whether it was scoring, showing off his speed, penetrating the lane and scoring around the rim, but also doing a tremendous job in rebounding and making smart decisions in finding his teammates.

'It was great, I have had an amazing experience,' when asked about his time in Virginia. As far as being with La Lumiere this season as well; 'It's been really god and just being a floor general, a leader, really defending, and also running the team.'

You don’t always find a young sophomore with his mentality, as he says he wants to do everything he can to secure the win for his team; Fears just has a tremendous ability to impact the game; not just scoring the ball.

'Getting my teammates involved is what I do and crashing the boards is kind of just having the will to win.'

Watching him operate on the floor, you can easily start to see why he has earned offers from around the country.  Schools like Gonzaga, Illinois, Iowa, Ole Miss, Missouri, Maryland, Kansas State, Creighton, Nebraska, DePaul, Iowa State, Chicago State, Detroit Mercy, UIC, and Ohio have all offered already, with the Zags being the latest.

'I think it's a big-time university and could also be a great opportunity just like all the other colleges,' Fears told Phenom Hoops about his latest offer from Gonzaga.  'But it's so early; I actually like them all (schools that have offered).'

College programs have said they like Fears' ability to lead the charge with great pace, playing poised on the floor, and his defensive capabilities.  Also, his ability to play the game the right way and get everyone involved.

That is why more schools could be entering the mix with offers, as Indiana, UCLA, Arizona, and Purdue have also expressed interest his way.

Fears is going to be a popular name with many though, that is for sure, and it seems that he is going to be one of the top guards in the country for his class.  Get familiar with his name quickly.
