One of the hottest prospects in the recruiting world these days has been 2023 Jamie Kaiser Jr., who has been announcing offer after offer from high-major programs and has quickly risen up the national rankings for many outlets.
Kaiser though has been a name we have been familiar with and noticed his production back in 2021 when we wrote this article: Putting up numbers: 2023 6’5 Jamie Kaiser (Lake Braddock, VA)
Now, Kaiser recently announced his Top 9 schools and Phenom Hoops spoke to him shortly after to get his thoughts on each program that made the list and his relationship with the staff. See what he had to say about each and when he is looking to commit.
Virginia: Great staff. Coach Bennett is a real cool dude and he said I would fit his system well.
Boston College: New staff but they are really hungry guys with some good 2022 recruits and good ethics.
Wake Forest: They are a high academic ACC school with solid records each year.
Wisconsin: Love Coach Gard and Coach Oliver. They have really prioritized me over the past couple of months.
West Virginia: Coach is a really nice guy but an intense coach who gets the best out of his players and loves my game and intensity.
Iowa: Coach said he loved shooters and thinks I can step in and make an impact right off the bat with my shooting.
Indiana: They have really been recruiting me hard and like my strength and shooting from three. They think I can have a big impact in the Big 10.
Maryland: They are close to home and I’m really familiar with them and have become really close with them in a short period of time.
Miami: Coach Larranaga is a legend and if he said he likes my game, I can’t take that lightly. He also likes DMV guys and thinks I translate well to the ACC.
When speaking to Kaiser about his timeframe about when he may commit, he said: “Probably this month.”
