It was just a matter of time and if you have watched the game of Gregory “GG” Jackson, you simply knew that he was going to be a big-time prospect for the class of 2023 in South Carolina.' Teams though didn't waste much time, especially with what they have seen early in the summer from Jackson.

Syracuse was the first to offer Jackson, then South Carolina and Virginia Tech followed shortly after.  And it looks like he has the interest of several other programs as well. We spoke with Jackson to catch up on the latest with one of the biggest prospects in the class of 2023 in South Carolina.


PHR: How did this last season and this summer gone for you so far'

Jackson: The summer has started off well for me and my team, Upward Stars.  We've played in two tournaments so far.

PHR: What have you been able to show with your game so far'

Jackson: I've shown my strength and ability to rebounds and get to the basket.  Also bring the ball up the court and getting contact for fouls.

PHR: What has been your focus with your game'

Jackson: Trying to develop my outside game more, so I can come off screens and knock down jumpers.

PHR: You received offers from two ACC schools recently.  What are your thoughts on Syracuse and Virginia Tech early on'

Jackson: Those are two big powerhouse schools and they have produced a lot of great players.  I'm just grateful to have the opportunity.

PHR: What did they say that they liked about your game early on'

Jackson: They said that I'm long and strong.  And that I have good body control.  Also, that I'm not a one-dimensional player.

PHR: Also received a big offer from your home state school in South Carolina. What was that like for you'

Jackson: It was comforting to know that have much love here at home and they see what I have to offer to them. 

PHR: What kind of relationship do you have with the staff or program there'

Jackson: I feel that It's good and getting better. I think it's a good relationship.

PHR: Have any other schools have offered'

Jackson: Just those three so far.

PHR: Have you heard from any other schools that have expressed interest your way'

Jackson: Clemson, Buffalo, Washington, and Georgia Tech
