2023 Grayson Kirk has been a frequent presence on the Phenom Hoops platform, whether it has been during camps at the South Carolina Top 80 or during travel ball with the York County Legends.  The South Carolina guard looks to be back and ready to go for a big year, as he has hopes to remind everyone of what he can do on the court.  He also earned a new offer, one that he is excited to have earned, as we discuss the latest with him.

What Has Been Said:

'He's a big, team-first point guard prospect with a nice combination of IQ, size, skill, and overall athleticism. Kirk handles the ball well and looks to get others involved whenever possible, but also applies efficient scoring pressure from all levels. He understands how to operate within the flow of the team and never forces the action with the ball in his hands. Kirk finishes, knocks down jumpers, and makes decisive plays off the bounce. He also defends his position very well and rebounds the ball nicely for a guard, which allows him to push transition play with relative ease. Coach English on Kirk: 'Grayson is a nice shooter that can score from all three levels. He's a good on-ball defender and does a great job on help-side defense. Great ball-handler with a good feel for the game. Makes contested shots and can finish through contact. A pleasure to coach.' Kirk shined throughout his time at camp and should be a leader for Lancaster going forward.'

'What a day it was for Kirk and York County Legends, as they absolutely battled all day long. Kirk was one of the go-to leaders, continuing to make strong plays, creating off the dribble, and making tough play after tough play.  Was really impressed all day long with the entire York County Legends.'

'Grayson has been on my radar for over a year now, proving himself as a productive lead guard that can produce off the bounce. Kirk is really beginning to settle into his game as a prospect with 2 remaining high school seasons. An impressive facilitator that fits passes through narrow windows. Solid frame that can get to the rim.'

Kirks Adds Another Offer:

Kirk continues to see and earn interest from schools, as he added another offer from Cleveland CC this past week.' Cleveland CC now joins Morris College that has offered the guard from South Carolina, as he is very excited about the new opportunity.

'I'm very excited to get another offer,' Kirk said. 'I'm glad that somebody is seeing that I'm back and ready to take over the state again because honestly, I feel like some forgot about me. I'm definitely going to wake them up.' I know God has me and will guide me somewhere to help me get to the level of basketball I want to play, which is pro.'

Kirk said that most schools have been liking his passion, his grit, and his size as a guard.  He is a strong finisher around the basket but also can knock down shots from multiple levels on the floor, as well as his ability to play point guard and run a team.  Versatility is the name of the game for college coaches with Kirk, and he is ready to showcase that even more this upcoming season.
