Vance high school in Charlotte has been a program that has a proven record of producing talent. Recently, players like Jaylen Curry, Daniel Sanford, and Trey Green have been big-time players that played at Vance last season. However, a player that could be next to start making a name for himself down the road is 2023 6’3 Evan Ashemore.

Phenom Hoops got a glimpse of his game at the Teammate Nationals, playing for Next Level Elite.

The 6’3 prospect, and growing, has a tremendous wingspan that he uses well on both ends and also showed that he can be a knock down shooter from deep (in a game we watched, he went 5-for-7 from three for 22 points). He has good instincts on the court and displays nice athleticism as well.

When you see him on the court, he certainly catches your eye but then when you add his long, wiry frame, his vision/passing ability, and his ability to knock down shots with range, Ashemore is prospect to keep on the books to start tracking. Ashemore is another player that should catch the eyes of college coaches down the road at Vance.
