
You’ve seen the highlight films on social media and you certainly won’t forget his name; 2023 Blue Cain is already earning some impressive offers and more schools are not far behind. Cain is a big-time slashing guard that has a tremendous athletic ability on the court. He has a natural feel to his game and plays with an aggressive nature on the court.
Cain has already earned a few offers, with his latest coming from the SEC. He discusses his thoughts on the schools that have offered and who else is showing interest his way.
PHR: How has this summer been for you playing with BMaze and all'
Cain: It’s been a great experience just getting a lot of exposure and a bunch of opportunities to play against the top players in the country.
PHR: How has it been for you personally to receive a lot of attention early on'
Cain: I’ve been trying to not get too involved in it and realize that no matter how much attention, I get I still have to play basketball and nothing is guaranteed.
PHR: That is a tremendous mindset to have. How would you best describe your game early on in your own eyes'
Cain: I just try to win games and do whatever it takes to win games. I like to get to the rim but my game is definitely expanding outwards.
PHR: What are you hoping to improve in early on'
Cain: Just my shot and defense.
PHR: How has your recruitment been going so far' What has that ride been like for you'
Cain: I’ve just been trying to enjoy it but keep working because I’m far from done.
PHR: Your latest offer was from South Carolina. What are your thoughts early on about the program and what was it like to receive an offer from them'
Cain: It’s a great program and it seems like it could be a good fit for me. I was honored to receive it and thankful.
PHR: Did you hear anything that they may have said when they offered'
Cain: No, my coach just called me and said they offered.
PHR: What other offers do you hold right now also'
Cain: Howard and East Tennessee State
PHR: Anything stand out about those schools that have offered you'
Cain: Howard being an HBCU is an honor to get and ETSU was the first school to really believe in me.
PHR: What other schools have been expressing interest your way as well'
Cain: Tennessee, Iowa State, Florida, Seton Hall, Rhode Island, Georgetown, and a few others.
