Prolific Prep has certainly been in the news a lot this summer, whether it has been with the recent hiring of head coach Ryan Bernardi and his staff, or the fresh new faces that will be suiting up this upcoming season for the national powerhouse.
But most recently, Prolific Prep announced that they will have two dynamic, play-making guards looking to lead the charge for their team this upcoming season. 2023 Aden Holloway (also an Auburn commit) and 2023 Trey Green (Xavier commit) will be looked upon to lead the charge for this talented squad but these two shouldn’t have any issue in doing so. Two big-time winners and playmakers on the court, both have proven themselves on why they are two of the best point guards in the country and why Prolific Prep seems to be in good shape when the ball is in their hands.
Both natives of North Carolina, Phenom Hoops has been able to watch these young prospects grow up right before our eyes and certainly understand what it means to have these two leading the charge. We recently wrote about each in what they bring to the table:
“Holloway is a smooth, crafty guard prospect with IQ, vision, and efficiency as a three-level scorer. Holloway is more than comfortable at operating as the primary creator, showing a balanced understanding of how to get others involved while regularly burdening the scoring load. That being said, he also finds consistent success without necessarily requiring the ball in his hands. Holloway displays quality instincts as a defender and is capable of forcing turnovers at a steady rate.”
“Green has simply outperformed every opponent in his path—regardless of size difference. He’s a smart, heady, balanced floor general with the ability to run a team while still applying phenomenal scoring pressure from all levels. Green is a crafty shot-creator, both for himself and others, and has the necessary blend of toughness, athleticism, and leadership.”
Not only will these two guards bring stability to the backcourt, Green and Holloway will be playmaking guards that understand how to score, get others involved, and be those key leaders on the court.
Prolific Prep, as many may look at as the “HoopState of the West,” will be a must-see team this upcoming season once again and the dynamic duo of Holloway and Green will be looking to lead the charge.
