Michael is a fantastic athlete, high energy, and enthusiastic player who just loves to compete! What stands out immediately aside from his elite athleticism, his lengthy frame and great effort is his communication skills. He’s always talking on defense and on offense; he’s active and impactful on both ends of the floor. A very good ball-handler he can break defenders down in isolations and he can get to the rim with good regularity. Michael is quick, long, and shifty, a very good scorer on the move showing great touch and body control. Has a nice burst off a change of direction move, laterally quick and always on balance.
He hits the spot-up three at a good rate and is a crafty finisher, excellent touch using the glass and on floaters. Defensively he’s very good off the ball, anticipates nicely. He has quick feet and good footwork. He’s always in a position to make a play. Michael rebounds the basketball showing good timing and leaping ability. He elevates quickly off the floor on first and subsequent jumps and is a shot-blocking presence. He brings great effort and impacts the game on both ends of the floor. Michael comes from a basketball family!
His sister Michelle is a junior at Virginia Beach, Princess Anne High School, and has received several Division 1 offers including Old Dominion, East Carolina, Winthrop, schools like Wake Forest among others are showing strong interest. I expect Michael will begin to draw attention in due time. Look for him to have a breakout year next season and begin to put his name on the recruiting radar.
