Carmel Christian is certainly a program that should have the attention of many in the state of North Carolina, as they bring a roster full of talent that can play at the next level. Ben Burnham has already committed while having others like Justin Taylor, Cade Tyson, Glenn Bynum, and others hold offers to play at the next level.

Now you can add 2022 6'8 Luke Krawczyk to that list, as he earned his first offer last week from Fairmont State.

Phenom Hoops reached out to Luke to learn more about his game, what has it been like at Carmel so far, and his thoughts on earning his first offer in our latest 1-on-1.

Phenom: First off, how has everything been going for you at Carmel Christian'

Krawczyk: I've been great. It's been a really good fit and I'm blending well with all the other players and coaches.

Phenom: What have you been able to take away early on so far from your time there'

Krawczyk: Ever since I've been there, Coach Badgett had preached to us to trust the process and to trust each other.  As long as we keep on working and believing in each other, we will be a very good team.

Phenom: How would you best describe your game on the court and how you can operate'

Krawczyk: I would say as I've been working these past few months, defense has become a big part of my game and offensively, I have been more of an interior presence mixed in with a little bit of shooting.

Phenom: What's your feeling about this Carmel team this year'

Krawczyk: I'm really excited because we have so much talent and depth on our team.  And as we've grown as a team, we have been playing for each other and not ourselves.

Phenom: You got that first offer.  What was that like for you and what were your first thoughts'

Krawczyk: It was a surreal feeling and my first thoughts were thanking God for helping my dreams start to come true and my hard work is starting to pay off.

Phenom: How did you hear about it'

Krawczyk: I had been in contact with one of the coaches over there for about a week and on my way home from practice, he called me and told me.

Phenom: Anything stand out to you about the program early on'

Krawczyk: Seeing the campus and the facilities really stood out to me. It's an all-around great school.

Phenom: Have you heard from any other schools'

Krawczyk: No, not really but I'm hoping that will start to change as the season goes on.
