2022 Justin Taylor has been a familiar name throughout the state of North Carolina.  We have had a ton of chances to watch his game grow and develop over the years and he was a key part of Carmel Christian this past season.

But since the high school season ended, it has been a little while since seeing Taylor in action on the court but boy, did he give us a quick reminder of just how electric he can be on the court with his outings at the Phenom G3 Showcase.  In the three games he had, he finished with 13, 28, and 33 points, ultimately averaging nearly 25 points per game in Rock Hill.

When watching Taylor's game, the point guard plays with tremendous poise and IQ on the court, reading what the defense gives him, playing with a tremendous pace, and being able to either operate in the full court or in the half-court.' Offensively, he excels in transition, having a strong feel with the ball in his hands, and showing his ability to get to the rack and finish.' But he also can knock down shots from multiple levels, giving a nice balance of being a point guard or stepping up his scoring output when needed.

At the Phenom G3 Showcase, he reminded us once again of all that and a little more.' As one of the scouts said, 'Taylor is a multi-dimensional scoring threat with quickness and effort on the defensive end.''

Taylor stole the show and was consistent throughout the weekend, which is why schools have already offered him and continue to recruit him as their next guard of the future.  But, at times, everyone just needs a little reminder along the way of just what a player is capable of and that is what Taylor did in Rock Hill.
