South Carolina continues to put out premier talent each and every year and it looks to be the same in the 2022 class.  One player many could say went under the radar for quite some time now has seen his recruitment finally starting to take off.

2022 Julian Kiett has had a solid summer so far, giving college coaches a glimpse of his game.  The strong-bodied guard really excels in the open floor, using his speed extremely well and finishing strong, while only continuing to develop and grow his game.  Looking more into his game, this was said about Kiett’s game recently at the South Carolina Top 80.

“He’s a long, athletic, high-motor guard prospect with phenomenal size and physical tools. Kiett is fairly skilled and can score from all three levels, but is nearly unstoppable from attacking the basket and finishing above or through contact. He handles the ball very well and is capable of creating for others, but also operates quite effectively as an off-ball cutter. Defensively, Kiett is an overwhelming presence with the necessary energy to overwhelm his assignment on a regular basis. He forces turnovers at a consistent rate and does a great job of making his presence felt in transition. Next in his development process is working on his consistency as a shooter off the dribble, as it would make him tougher for opponents to contain.”

Kiett has been putting in the work and it is starting to pay off, as his recruitment has started to take off with offers from Francis Marion, Miles College, Benedict College, Southern Wesleyan, and Vorhees College.

“They love my tough in the paint,” Kiett told Phenom Hoops about what those programs have been telling him.  “They love my mentality and they like how I scrap on defense.”

He also has been receiving interest from Lenoir-Rhyne, Queens, Murray State, Newberry, Appalachian State, Emory and Henry, Lee University, Anderson, Greenville University, Presbyterian, Air Force, Limestone, and Coker.
