2022 6’3 Josiah Davis is one to really start watching if you haven’t and he plays for a program that certainly has had talent… could he be the next high-major prospect'
Davis is a strong point guard that Phenom Hoops have watched quite a few times in the past. He knows how to run a team, utilizes his strong frame very well, can navigate through traffic to set up others, or finish through contact around the basket. He did it time and time again last year and he has gotten even better since then.
Davis is looking to continue to improve in his game though, working on his shot, his dribble step-back, and just being a leader on the court, as he will need all that this upcoming season. But he certainly is excited to get back on the court with his teammates at Teays Valley.
“(I’m excited about) just coming in and having our same guys,” he told Phenom Hoops. “Last year, we were young but we had a bond that clicked. I’m excited about this year because we’re solid with all returners, so we know each other’s play style and we’re ready for anything that comes our way.”
Davis has a chance to have a big season and really see his recruitment take off even more. Right now, he holds offers from West Virginia and Stetson but more could join that list with a ton of interest surrounding him.
“Recruitment hasn’t been bad, my latest was West Virginia,” he said. “I love the fact that I got my first big offer. What I like about them (West Virginia) is that their built off culture and family, hard work, and determination.”
Davis also mentioned that schools like Baylor, George Mason, NC State, Cincinnati, Morehead State, and a few others have also expressed interest his way.
