One of the better combo scoring guards in the 2022 class seems to be on the move.  2022 6'6 guard Ramel Lloyd of Taft high school had an exciting year in which he averaged nearly 22 points per game, helping Taft to a 22-11 overall record.

It was announced though on Sunday that he would be heading to Dream City Christian, as he hopes to showcase his talent on a bigger platform.

'I felt like they had my best interest in mind,' he said.  'I also wanted to play a national schedule and play against the top competition to gain more exposure and prove I'm one of the top guards in the country.'

Lloyd now gives the nationally-recognized program a 6'6 presence that plays with an aggressive style, can score on multiple levels, and can defend positions 1-4.

As far as his recruitment goes, Lloyd already holds offers from USC, Arizona State, TCU, DePaul, Dayton, Fresno State, UNLV, and Manhattan but several other schools have been in the mix, including a few new ones.

'Hearing from a lot of schools right now,' Lloyd told Phenom Hoops. 'Arizona, Syracuse, Georgetown, Washington, and Florida State have shown interest.' He also mentioned that schools like Oregon, Kansas, and UCLA have all recently expressed interest as well.
