2022 6'7 Cade Tyson is one of the premier talents in the state of North Carolina and he certainly showed that and more this past season at Carmel Christian. It was interesting to see how he would handle the change and competition from Piedmont HS to Carmel Christian but Tyson made a statement of his own and is now hoping to carry that into this summer.

Averaging 16.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, shooting 50 percent from the floor, and 38 percent from three, Tyson has certainly shown that he has continued to grow and develop his game to prepare him for the next level, something he has worked hard on.

'I feel that as a player, I have mainly grown on the defensive side which has also been a result of the work that I have done in the weight room,' he told Phenom Hoops. 'I also believe I have grown offensively when playing against better, more athletic players like I did in practice all year with Carmel Christian and am now doing with Team Curry. Playing for both of these teams is helping me adjust when playing with other really good players. Of course, though, I'm still looking to improve because there is always more room to get better.'

And there certainly is a little extra motivation behind him, as Carmel Christian had a terrific season but ultimately came up short of earning another state title. So Tyson is using that to push him this summer and next season.

With his talents and what he has shown so far, it seems that it is only a matter of time before more offers come his way. He currently holds an offer from Charlotte but there are a few that have been coming on strong and could quickly join with an offer.

'It has been going pretty well,' Tyson said about his recruitment. 'I have mainly been talking to Liberty and Clemson. Some other schools that have contacted me are Virginia Tech, Purdue, Loyola-Chicago, Appalachian State, Elon, East Tennessee State, and Tulsa.'

Tyson informed Phenom Hoops that Liberty and Clemson have been talking to him about his game pretty consistently, something he really appreciates, and that they hope to get him up to campus when everything opens up. The other schools on his list contact him pretty much every week as well.

With Tyson's IQ, high-level shooting, size, and ability to impact the floor in several areas, it seems that it is just a matter of time before he blows up with his recruitment and he hopes to show why with Team Curry and Carmel Christian next season.
