Treyvon Byrd has quietly gone under the radar for several months now but he has quietly been producing at a high level and coaches are starting to take notice.

Byrd grabbed our attention a couple of years ago with his length and ability to score.  He only continued to further his development as a player, really developing that killer instinct and aggressively attacking the rim, scoring on multiple levels, and being tough to keep out of the rim as he takes it coast-to-coast.

We got another glimpse of him at the Summer Havoc, one of many, where Phenom Hoops had this to say:

'Byrd is simply a matchup problem at 6-foot-7 with athleticism and quality perimeter skills. He has the ability to rebound the ball or force turnovers through his ridiculous length and immediately push the break in transition, where he can finish himself or set up others. Due to length and athleticism, Byrd has no issue defending multiple positions and can actively switch across opponents of various sizes. He attacks the basket and finishes through contact very well, but can also knock down jumpers at a decent rate.'

With such a unique blend and scoring ability on the court, it seemed like a matter of time before college coaches would take a chance on him.  After the Summer Havoc, he received two offers from South Carolina State and Eastern Kentucky.

'They said they liked watching me this summer and they like my game,' Byrd told Phenom Hoops.  'This summer has been great with a lot of hard work.'

This may just be the start as well, with schools like Towson, Cincinnati, and NC Central all showing interest his way as well.  'They say to keep working hard, to keep working on my game, and to continue playing great basketball.'

It seemed like it was only a matter of time before offers would be coming in and more offers should continue to come his way, especially with his unique length and skillset.
