There were plenty of memorable and eye-catching performances at the Phenom G3 Showcase but 2022 6'5 Mykol Sanchez may have had one of the best overall weekends we have seen in quite some time now.  Coming up from Florida with North Florida Elite, he simply put on a SHOW.

Overall, North Florida Elite went 3-1 in Rock Hill over the weekend, defeating the Charlotte Guards, Next Level SC, and Sheed Wallace Select, ultimately falling to champion CC Elite 2022.  Sanchez was off the charts in every outing, putting up some impressive scoring showings.  He finished with 20, 27, 37, and 46 in those four games, ultimately averaging 32.5 points per game, the highest in the event.

He was off the charts!

Sanchez's ability to score the ball was something special to watch. With his blend of size and ability to score on all three levels, no one could slow him down. He knocked down multiple threes, rising over defenders with confidence but also use his long, sturdy frame to be effective in other areas as well. Sanchez also makes an impact in other ways, whether it is his IQ, his passing ability, rebounding, and also being an effective passer as well.

He gave us a little glimpse of everything this past weekend with his game but you can't deny that his offensive shooting, no matter where he was on the court, was quite impressive and something to remember.

We spoke to Sanchez more about his personal thoughts on his game and what he likes to bring to the table. Here is what he had to say after the event.

'I play the game with passion and energy to showcase my love for the game of basketball,' he told Phenom Hoops.  'From an early age, I've been working and developing on my shot to become an outside threat and worked from there to evolve my game to have different areas on the court to score from.  With the energy I bring on defense, I try to create easy opportunities for myself.  There is some areas I do want to improve on but that is how I would describe my game.'

'I believe my scoring ability is naturally in me and also comes from all the past coaches that have helped me understand the game easier and get to my spots to where I can score and move without the ball and get easy points,' he continued when asked about his scoring output.

Sanchez was impressive this weekend and we don't see it slowing down any time soon.  He should only continue to show his game more this summer with North Florida Elite and with Central Pointe Christian in the next year or so; mark him down as one to watch.
