Jaden Clayton

This past weekend at the Hargrave Military Challenge in Chatham Virginia, Phenom Hoops got another glimpse at a rising point guard that coaches and high school basketball fans need to watch.

2022 6’0 Jaden Clayton for ISA Academy is one that stirs the pot for a program that has multiple high-major talents, including Charles Bediako and Keon Ambrose.  But this sophomore guard plays with such body control and poise on the floor, he certainly plays like a seasoned veteran.

Jamie Shaw had this to say after his performance in Virginia, saying “Clayton has been great.  Touching the paint, distributing the ball, and finishing.  He is running the team at a high level.”

Patrick O’Brien also said “Clayton has such a tremendous feel for the game.  Poised as a sophomore, reads the floor well, and knows when to score when the opportunities are there.”

Currently, Clayton holds an offer from Detroit Mercy, one that he received back in December of 2018.  But he also mentioned recently to Phenom Hoops that programs like Tennessee and Oregon have expressed small interest as well his way.

After playing up at 17u on the EYBL for UPLAY this past season, Clayton continues to showcase his vision and understanding of the game at a high level, while continuing to develop his overall offensive game.
