2021 Justin Taylor led the charge at Carmel Christian this past season and is looking to continue his success this summer. He is also hoping to find that same success with his recruitment, as Taylor recently picked up a new offer to add to his list, along with several other interests.

Mount St. Mary’s is Taylor’s most recent offer, now joining South Florida, Elon, Winthrop, and North Carolina A&T. He also got a glimpse of the school, as he took a virtual tour before receiving an offer.

“The offer from Mount St. Mary’s is special to me because I really appreciated the vibe I was getting from the coaches. They talked about how much they liked my game and how well I can play on and off the ball, using my size and athleticism,” Taylor said. “They said they would want someone like me to have hte ball in my hands a lot. I was also really impressed by their campus on the virtual tour. I liked it a lot.”

Mount St. Mary’s has now put their name into the race. Outside of them, South Florida and Elon have been two other programs that have really been in touch heavily that have also offered. Taylor has already been able to visit both of those schools and has seemingly developed a really good relationship with the staff there.

“They’ve been just contacting me, having different conversations with me… they make me feel as if I’m already one of their own.”

Interest levels have also continued to pick up for Taylor, as he has heard from Vanderbilt, Yale, and Appalachain State heavily while also being in contact with NC State, Cornell, Hampton, and College of Charleston as of late.

“They’ve basically just been having basic conversations wiht me, just to build that relationship,” Taylor told Phenom Hoops.

Taylor has plans to speak with Yale soon but no other virtual visits set up yet. However, with Taylor’s ability to initiate the offense and score, his recruitment could continue to rise this summer.
