2021 6'7 Drew Williams from Scotland Campus had a solid summer, receiving multiple offers from schools around the country.' A few high majors and a few mid-majors, schools have been making a strong push for him over the last few months.' Recently, Williams announced his Top 6, which included Tennessee State, East Carolina, Howard, Murray State, Iowa State, and South Carolina.

He believes that each school on that list has significantly shown him that they will take the time to develop his game and ultimately give him a chance to get to the next level, while also letting him or have coached players already similar to his game.

Patrick O'Brien with Phenom Hoops recently spoke to Williams about those six schools, as he was able to break down his thoughts on each.

Tennessee State: 'They are like family; I've known Assistant Coach Russ Willemsen before I was old enough to get recruited.  I love the direction Coach Collins is taking the program.'

Iowa State: 'I have built a really good relationship with the coaching staff.  Love the plan they have for me and they have showed me players they have had that are similar to me and they've all succeeded in going to the league, for example, Talen Horton-Tucker.

East Carolina: 'Coach Dooley really loves my game and believes I'll be an immediate impact.  Playing the 2-3, I'll be able to show my full arsenal in their offense.  Really love their program.'

Howard: 'They are the top of HBCUs.' I feel like people overlook them because they are not high major but the direction Coach Blakeney is taking the program is going to shock a lot of people.' Recently getting Makur, he's inspired not only me but a lot of others to look at the HBCU route.' I've built a really good relationship with the whole coaching staff.'

South Carolina: 'They were my first high-major offer, so them taking a chance on me meant a lot.  I fit their style of play very well and I know I will be coached hard by Coach Frank Martin.'

Murray State: 'Murray State is another great program; they have treated me like family ever since the first time I've talked to them.' The direction Coach McMahon is taking the program, it's only going up.'

When it comes to his decision time, he is looking at December 20th to be the day he ultimately decides, as he wants to find a program that provides winning and family culture.' And when that day comes, it certainly will be an exciting one for him and his family.

'It will be a dream come true, everything I've worked for up to this point has been for that moment; just ready to close one chapter and get ready for a new one.'
