The Sooners landed another big-time talent for their 2021 recruiting class. First securing Bijan Cortes months ago, Lon Kruger secured his second big commitment in CJ Noland, as he recently announced his commitment to Oklahoma.

Phenom Hoops went 1-on-1 with Noland, as he dives into what were his deciding factors and his focus now will be with the program.

PHR: First off, what made Oklahoma the place for you in the end'

Noland: Oklahoma has the winning atmosphere and I can see myself grow on and off the court.

PHR: How did you inform the staff and what did they have to say when you did'

Noland: I called Coach Kruger one night and he was very excited and he congratulated me.  After that, I called Coach Williamson and Coach Hartman and they were super excited as well.

PHR: What do you hope to bring to Oklahoma, as far as your game'

Noland: An energetic person who is ready to work and be successful.

PHR: What were some deciding factors that ultimately went into your decision'

Noland: I had a good relationship with the coaches and it was the best fit.

PHR: What are your next steps after your decision' Have you spoke to any other players'

Noland: Yes sir, right now, I'm trying to help get Daimion Collins on board.

PHR: Have you talked to the other guys so far' How good of a relationship do you all have'

Noland: I have talked to Bijan and Daimion a bit.  We are getting pretty close.

PHR: What kind of things have you all talked about and what do you think early on that your class can do for this program'

Noland: Mostly, how has the recruiting process been for them and we will definitely have an instant impact in the Big-12.

PHR: As far as your game, how do you like to attack and create on the court'

Noland: I like to attack from wings and get deep in the paint for easy lay ins or easy kick outs for three.

PHR: What will be your focus now with your decision behind you'

Noland: Winning State in 6A in Texas.
