Combine Academy had an impressive season and several players really escalated their recruitment while playing for head coach Jeff McInnis.

One of those players was starter Josh Rubio, a 6'7 forward that really seemed to develop and flourish at Combine.  Rubio has the body to be a big, strong force down low in the paint, something he has shown in the past but this past season, he really showed that his game could take another level.

Rubio showed tremendous ability to step out and be a threat on multiple levels, knocking down perimeter shots as well as continuing to do the dirty work down low in the paint.

Which is why so many programs started to jump on his recruitment.

On Tuesday though, Rubio announced that he would be committing to Erskine College.

'I felt like it was the best decision for me and where I want to go in my career to get better as a player and reach my goals,' he told Phenom Hoops shortly after. 'They were very happy and they said they will help me reach my goals and make an All-American. I'm willing to put in the work to do that.'

So, how will they be looking to use Rubio'

'They said they are going to develop my game and I will be playing 2-4 and maybe some point forward.  I just have to play my game and be a dog.  Get my body right for the college level.'
