Moravian Prep was one of the top teams in the country with the talent they had this season.  Of course, it starts at the top with the two NC State commits in Josh Hall and Shakeel Moore but 2020 6’5 Jamahri Harvey was a HUGE piece to this team taking home the Phenom HoopState Championship this year.

Time and time again, Harvey stepped up and made plays, leading his team to an impressive season. It seemed like every time Phenom Hoops watched Harvey play, he accepted the challenge and showed why multiple schools had offered him.

Harvey’s latest offer came from Wichita State, a program that he is excited to learn more about.

“I’m really excited about Wichita State,” he said.  “I’ve heard a lot of great things about the program and I look forward to going on a visit.  The coaches have told me how much they’ve liked me and they are keeping in touch so it’s going good.”

The Shockers join USC-Upstate, Charleston Southern, Eastern Kentucky, UMBC, UIC, Morehead State, St. Bonaventure, Nebraska, Rider, Elon, Mount St. Mary’s, Robert Morris, Quinnipiac, Hofstra, UNCW, North Carolina A&T, Fayetteville State, SC State, and Hampton.

Harvey spoke shortly about visiting schools but right now, he currently doesn’t have any visits planned. But there are a few schools that were showing that they are very interested, including a few programs that have yet to offer.

“UNC-Wilmington, Lipscomb, Wichita State, Wake Forest, and Quinnipiac have really shown me that they are very interested,” Harvey said.

The Demon Deacons have yet to offer Harvey but it seems that they certainly have their eye on the senior guard.

Harvey wants to try to visit Wichita State, UNC-Wilmington, Lipscomb, and Wake Forest, whether it is for an official or an unofficial, as he is hoping to find the best situation for him.

“I just want to see where I can play right away and be in the best situation; whoever gives me the vibe of a family,” he said. “I want to try to get (my decision) done as soon as possible. As soon as everything settles down and I can start taking visits, I’ll be looking to decide.”
