What they are saying about the 2012 NC Phenom 150 camps

Thank you again to all of those that came out to the 2012 NC JR Phenom 150 and NC Phenom 150 camp. Your positive emails help seal the fact that our camp is not only a labor of love but an event that stacks up with the best in the country. Don’t take our word for it.

Here are the comments from the parents, players, media and all of those involved with the 2012 camp. Thank you all for your kind words and participation.

Thanks for the opportunity you gave my son, Sen, last weekend at your junior camp. He learned a great deal and enjoyed battling the other three “big men”. Sincerely, Ted Kenneally

Just wanted to say Thank You for letting me come to the camp.  This was my first year and I really enjoyed it and learned a lot to help improve my skills on the court. – Lawrence Hickson

Mr. Lewis my son and I want to say Thank YOU for this weekend my son Taji really enjoyed himself playing against some tough competition. You have a GREAT CAMP. This is Taji 2nd year attending and we will be BACK AGAIN!!!!!! – Thomas Moore

I really enjoyed participating at the camp, working with the kids, and meeting your family.  Elliot had a good time, played well, and got some good exposure with older kids. – Eric Teal

I personally wanted to thank you for a very well run Phenom 150 event on Sunday.  It was the first time my son, Nick Efird, 2014, Bishop McGuinness participated.  He was a little overwhelmed in the first few minutes, but quickly adjusted and had a lot of fun competing against great competition.  He has always played PG or SG but in the last year he has grown from 5’9 to 6’2, and on Sunday found himself playing the 3 position which was new, but he loved it!  I asked how he felt and he said, “it was aggressive, fast-paced, and I definitely held my own and proved to myself I can play at this level”.

As a dad that has watched his kid work really hard, it was very rewarding.  Thanks again and see you again soon!!! - Robbie Efird

I would like to say that the camp was  an outstanding experience for my  son James. This was his first Phenom camp and he  really enjoyed the competition. We will highly recommend it to other players. THANKS - James Millner

Thank you for putting this event together and having us in. It was our first time out at one of your events and I must say, I was impressed. If I can ever be of assistance to you please do not hesitate to ask. We all want the same thing and that is to help kids get a chance to play at the next level. I look forward to covering your events in the future. Thanks again for everything. Take care and God bless! – Jason Porter, AllStar Preps

Thank you for hosting an excellent camp. My son left out with great enthusiasm, and more so with the knowledge that he has more work to do, in order that he becomes a better basketball player. I wish that I was able to stay longer and watch the young men play. No matter what the outcome is for the kids, I pray that they all take your advice, and THANK, whom ever got them  to the camp, and I loved what you told the kids about, respecting other people;s property, respect and pay attention to coaches. These are lifelong lessons that I try to instill my son. So it is always great and welcomed for him to hear this from someone else. Again, thanks for your service. – Scotty R. Gilmore

Thank you Rick on all your hard work, and for putting a world class event. – Stefan Kostic

I just wanted to thank you again coach for successfully running a great day of camp! – Douglas Elks

I first want to thank you for a wonderful camp.  Zack enjoyed it and also saw some things he needs to start working on.  Secondly, Tim, Zack and I have sung your praises for quite a while now.  I think some people from Wilkes will be (or already have) contacting you.  - Kim Bell

Just wanted to thank you again for taking Zach on short notice.  Great experience for him.  Did nothing but motivate him to continue working on his game.  Please let me know of other camps or workouts that you think might be positive for him in the future.  Really appreciate the great writeup.  I know this will open some doors for his future dreams.  You have certainly been a blessing to us. – Michael Cottrell

I want to thank you for the wonderful experience once again….Ive personally watched your Program evolve since our first experience there. Trust and believe Derrick Bass will be there every time you have the phenom. I have a 12 Year old who is going to be huge… already in 15 shoes. Im hoping to include him in your next phenom. With sincere appreciation and much respect for all You do - Ida “Nika” Bass Clayton

I will update you on Derek’s progress at Fred t ford high school this year as we have posted early this year your camp by far is the best most detailed camp no one is even close. Derek this year as always loved your camp and your evaluation was spot on ,  - Chris Barnes

First, I would like to say we are deeply sorry to hear about your loss, our prayers are with you and your family.  I would also like to take this time to say Thank you! . Anthanee has continued to grow as a basketball player ever since he met you at his first Phenom Camp back in “09. That camp set him on the path to be a better person and committed basketball player.   Please continue your work with these kids, as you have truly been a blessing to our family. Thank you, The Doyle Family

  1. I personally think that Shawn Lipscomb was the best and most dominant point guard at the camp. 6’0 2014 kid has interest from Maryland ,NC state, Memphis Boston college Winthrop and uncg. and many more and I didn’t see many write ups on him. he played no games on the middle court but he simply dominated on the courts he was on. the kid had 23&5 the first game 25&8 the second game and the 28&6 the third with 3 dunks. he made his team better and just really stood out. He is the best point guard in the entire State of North Carolina but not only that he is the #1 scorer in the country. averaging 33.5 last year as a sophomore you are really missing this.
watch his highlight here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7XxkhCTFrk the kid is a raw talent.
