Learning more about Ambassador Christian
This is a program that many are eager to learn more about, as HC Scott Taylor and AC Nick Jones look to lead their new program and make a statement. New names have been filling out the roster, which included 2025 JD Bowden, 2026 Logan Johnson, 2026 Tyler Brown, 2025 Dylan Deluca, and several others. The talent is there, and many are eager to see how this group meshes together, and they would love nothing more than to do it on the big stage with Phenom Hoops on Day 1. Two premier teams square off: Combine Academy vs. Caldwell Academy
If you are a basketball fan not only here in North Carolina but as well as nationally, this will be the game you will want to see. Combine Academy looks to be loaded once again with national talent, led by 2025 Kaden Magwood, 2026 Elhadji Diallo, 2025 Treyvon Maddox, and several others. They will be tested early against a team that has high expectations and would love nothing more than to make a statement early on. Led by 2025 Jaylen Cross, 2026 Cole Cloer, and others, Caldwell Academy has its eyes on a huge season, and this would be a great win to make a statement, and they have the talent to do so.
Carmel Christian vs. Christ School could be a show
These are two teams that have proven themselves year after year, and they will look to match up in what could be a very interesting and fun game to watch. 2025 Bryce Slay and company have a chance to make their mark early in the season against a team looking for another title. But Christ School has proven itself and look to do so again, though they did lose some strong talent from last year. But they do return 2025 Zymicah Wilkins, as the big man looks to be unstoppable down in the paint. This will be a really strong showdown in North Carolina.
Davidson Day looking to make its claim at home
Davidson Day is coming off a state title run last year and returns much of the same talent, as they look to go back-to-back this year. To top it off, this event will be in front of their home crowd, so expect the place to be rocking for the home team. 2025 Isaiah Denis has seen his recruitment and game take off, as some of the top teams around are recruiting him. And 2026 Williams Stevens is continuing to come into his own as one of the premier bigs in the state. They have two tough matchups against Grace Christian on Day 1 and then back at it against Millbrook, so we will be learning a lot about this squad early on.
